That episode was amazing and fantastic
But I have an entirely separate set of feels for Toph and Sokka
Because look
Sokka is staring at Toph. Worriedly (not the best cap)
and everyone is just like “OMG TOKKA IT’S SO FANTASTIC”
and I am absolutely too
but it goes further
because the shot zooms out from Sokka to Toph
Who looks terrified
Because remember
Toph is lifted off the floor.
Toph can’t see. Toph can’t move. Toph can’t bend.
Toph isn’t touching anything, and her nose isn’t much use.
Basically, her only input is what she hears. Which is some strangled groaning and Yakone’s evil chuckle.
Freaking creepy.
She hasno idea what is going on. She can’t defend herself, she can’t see what’s happening to all her friends, to Aang, to Sokka, she can’t move, and she may not even be able to tell that she is moving. How terrifying must thatbe? I cannot.
and Sokka immediately looks to her, he knows she’s not okay, and he can’t tell her what’s happening or help her or even let her know that everyone isn’t dead.
I definitely ship Tokka. I was so excited because of all of this.
But this Tokka is terrible, heartbreaking Tokka.
